Mulberry papers
Originally designed for artists
to repair their canvasses, Mulberry papers are now widely used in many
crafts, including card making. However, they now come in a great variety
of designs, colours and textures. The easiest way of getting the size
and shape of Mulberry paper you need, is to use a wet paint brush and
draw the shape out that you want and then gently tear along the lines.
This leaves you with a lovely rough edge. However, I like to have a
straight edge in some designs so just cut with scissors. You can use
mulberry paper as a mount for an embellishment or in a strip down or
across the page.
Here is an example of torn
mulberry paper used as a mount. For further examples, please look in
the Ideas Library using the button in the menu on the left..
