Card Design Projects
Wedding Congratulations

Wedding Congratulations Butterfly

Skill level: Advanced
Approx. time: 45 mins

You will need:
White A5 card blank
White card scrap
Pink pearlise paper scrap

White vellum with silver script writing
Embossing equipment
Silver embossing powder
'Butterfly' stamp
Silver gel pen
Scissors - Straight edged
Strong glue
Double sided tape
Foam pads

Pink organza ribbon
Silver wire
Pink letter beads spelling 'Wedding'
Two white beads

Step 1: Stamp and emboss the 'Butterfly' with silver embossing powder onto the white card scrap. Leave to dry.

Step 2: Draw a scrolling banner with the word 'Congratulations' in pencil and go over using the silver gel pen. Cut out. You could use a peel off for this if you are not confident enough to draw one.

Step 3: Cut out the Butterfly. Cut a square of the pink paper to mount the butterfly onto and then mount this onto a square of the vellum. Stick the buttfly onto this centrally. Stick the whole topper onto the top of the card as shown.

Step 4: Thread the letter beads and white beads onto the wire. Wrap the wire through the white beads twice to secure the letters in place.

Step 5: Stick a strip of double sided tape to the left hand side of the card and secure the pink ribbon.

Step 6: Wrap the wire around the top and bottom of the card over the ribbon and secure with tape on the inside of the card. This will need to be covered with an insert later.

Step 7: Stick the 'Congratulations' banner at the bottom with foam pads.
