Card Design Projects
Step 1: Stamp the 'Happy Birthday' repeating stamp onto white paper with black ink. Once dry, tear out roughly. Step 2: Stamp and emboss the leaf onto white paper one with gold embossing powder and the other with copper embossing powder. Once dry cut out leaving a small boarder. Step 3: Tear a piece of mulberry paper to mount the 'Happy Birthday' onto with a boarder of about 1cms. Step 4: Stick the mulberry paper and Happy Birthday onto the card centrally at the top. Step 5: Stick the leaves at the top right and bottom left of the Happy Birthday overlapping slightly. Step 6: Draw out or stencil the 'DAD' on the gold paper and cut out with a craft knife or scissors whichever you feel more comfortable with. Step 7: Cut out a rectangle from the brown paper with the deckled edged scissors and stick the 'DAD' onto it. Then stick this onto the bottom of the card. Tip: You could use this for a father's day card if you had a 'Happy Father's Day' repeating stamp or you could print it from a computer. Also the leaf stamp could be changed to hobbies or pastimes, like golf clubs or Dogs. Alternatively you could change the colour scheme and use it for a 'Mum' card with flowers instead of leaves.
