Card Design Projects
Step 1: Stamp and emboss the crying baby on a scrap of pink card and the pram on a scrap of white card. Leave to dry. Step 2: Cut a strip of pink mulberry paper to just under half the width of your card and stick in place. Step 3: Cut a rectangle of vellum that is bigger than your white tag. Cut off two corners and then make a hole through the top. Thread both ends of the white ribbon through this and the hole in the tag and then pass through the loop of itself. You do not need to tie the ends. Step 4: Make a bow with the rest of the white ribbon and using a strong glue stick the two ends and the bow in place at the top of the mulberry paper. Making sure the white tag shows at the top. Step 5: Stick the peel off on a scrap of silver card and trim down so that it fits in the remaining section of card, as in the picture. Step 6: Trim down both stamped images. Stick the baby onto a piece of silver scrap card and trim to leave a border of 3 to 4 mm. Stick the pram onto the corrugated card using the sticky foam pads and trim down to leave a 1cm border. Stick them both into position with a strong glue. Tips If you do not have the stamps for this project, you may be able to find a silver peel off with a similar image. If you cant tie bows then buy a pre made bow. If you dont have a hole punch, you can use the end of a paint brush and push through the vellum with modelling clay or sticky tac underneath. And remember this card can work just as well for a new baby boy, in blue! |
