Skill level: Beginner Approx. time: 25 - 35 minutes You will need: Blue/grey card blank Textured white card Metallic blue paper Gold 'Happy Birthday' Peel off Gold Embossing powder Embossing Equipment Rubber stamp Glue stick/PVA glue Sticky foam pads Scissors / Guillotine Insert

Step 1: Take the card`blank or use plain blue/grey card cut it to A5 and fold vin half. Stick in a decorative insert of white paper.

Step 2: Onto a smaller piece of textured white card stamp a simple plane or car image and emboss in gold. See basic skills section on embossing for more information.

Step 3:Cut a piece of metallic blue paper to mount the embossed picture on so that you have a five millimetre boarder showing and stick in place with a glue stick or PVA. Then stick four sticky foam pads onto the back in the corners. Mount the whole thing onto the top of your card.

Step 4: Affix a gold ‘Happy Birthday’ peel off centrally underneath.

This basic idea can be used for many cards designs. You may hear it called toppers.
